I love watching movies. I think it’s because I am a very visual person and watching a movie is seeing a story. I like the color,
the varied places and time periods, the costumes, and I like “reading” the expressions on the faces of the characters.
Movies, like print stories, can take you anywhere, let you get inside of a totally different person, and experience things you never could otherwise. The difference with movies is you can actually see that craggy cliff face the character is hanging from and it gives that added dimension of reality to the situation as your hands start to sweat.
Movies don’t allow for the use of imagination in the same way a print story does; however there are so many things we haven’t experienced, it makes them hard to imagine. The visual aspect of movies can really enhance a story and take the experience to another level. But as much as I enjoy movies, I’ll never give up reading stories in print format.
