More is extra, above, and beyond. These are the things that enhance life and make it fuller, richer. For me reading and writing are pretty basic. The things that enrich my life beyond words are amazing, colorful gardens and travel.

I love gardens, but I’m not a real green thumb kind of girl. I do have a large yard and a flower garden which I enjoy puttering around in. There is great joy in seeing the buds and greenery spring forth every year. My yard is either green and brown in the winter, or full of colorful perennials in the summer. Flowers make me smile.
Gardens are full of such diversity, all the myriad plants getting along snuggling together, intermingling. All those different textures, shapes, and colors melding to create a natural wonderland. A vibrant and living tableau, an ode to nature and man.

The other thing I love is traveling. Seeing what life is like in other places and meeting interesting people, trying out different food and cultures. When I travel I enjoy vising gardens and historic places. I minored in history when in college and am fascinated by the past. I read historical fiction and would like to write some.
Gardens, landforms, countries, and historic sites all have stories to tell too.
